In current company law, directors are not legally
accountable for the impact of their companies on
people and the environment. Many non-governmental
organizations fear that this lack of transparency can
result in a negative impact on the areas in which
companies operate. This debate will examine the
implications of amending the Company Law Reform Bill
to make directors legally accountable.
